The Heart of the Universe
Finding
beauty
The first step, I have read in many spiritual texts, to finding god is to find beauty in one's life. The funny thing is, say those same texts, whether it is the bagavita, the legends of Camelot, the I-Ching, the words of Christ as spoken by his apostle St. Thomas in the original Aramaic, that usually to come close to the form we find so beautiful, we must pass through the memories that cause us such great fear. It is as though what we find so breathtaking stands just in the midst of a body of a question. Am I worthy of such a fortune? I believe that the reason I find this form so beautiful is because she is the creation of the greatest of feminine forms…the Earth. I t makes sense that since I am of the Earth too, that the desire and appreciation I have for a woman comes from my ultimate mother, the Earth. Yet there she stands…right in the midst of that question…am I worth enough…yes, she says. The divine yes sits in my heart.
