Commissions

Customers are always welcome to inquire about having a special, personal piece of art created especially for them. The following links are to sketches which are preliminary studies for paintings that I will do. If you see one that touches you, then I welcome you to bring your interest to my attention so that we can discuss the commission of a painting for you to own. How does one commission an original Brummé?

Traditionally, a commission is request of someone who wants a specific event or scene honored by a painter who then creates it for one's home or workspace. I have done over a hundred such commissions for individuals. The process is simple and your satisfaction with the result is guaranteed.

I would walk you through the following steps.

1. I talk to you about what you want in the painting.

2. I take some photos of the image

3. I do a rendering like the one you see in this page

4. I get your ok to go forward and do a painting.

5. You see the painting before I sign it to approve it.

A 50% deposit is asked for in the beginning of the process and the remainder is paid at the painting's completion. And remember, when I do a painting I am creating a wish or a prayer for a home. For instance, if I am doing a painting with a puma, and since a puma represents courage and stealth, then I am doing a painting about bringing those qualities into your life to a greater degree than you are currently experiencing them.
